A seminar and engineering/ practice

It is an exploitation case in Waseda University Department of mechanical engineering Atsuo Takanishi laboratory. MechatronicsELAB(2)

The first year students of the Department of Modern Mechanical Engineering from Graduate School of Science and Engineering at Waseda University, attend to the MechatronicsELAB(2) experimental course. In particular, they course content has been designed to cover the basic required knowledge from the microcontroller programming up to the principles of control engineering. For this course, the students are required to perform different kinds of basic/task experiments using the RoboDesigner Kit. The main objective of this course is to introduce to the first year students the principles of the Mechatronics field. At the end of the course, students are required to construct a Line-Follow Robot as a part of a robot contest held at the end of the course.

"Make the control program to move a Mars Exploration Rescue Robot." Unit curriculum

It is an exploitation case in Fukuoka Kasuya-gun Singu Pablic Junior High School, the class of Technology for the third grade. In study of the third grade "information and computer" area in this school, students learn the expression activities (practical use of application software, and application of information and telecommunications) using a personal computer, and controlling apparatus by a personal computer automatically. Especially, in the "Make the control program to move a Mars Exploration Rescue Robot." unit, it is positioned as a compilation of the study which solves the subject in Technology. Through operating a personal computer, and using relation by people and a computer, relation by the computer and a peripheral device (mechanical arts), and the Internet, the composition of a unit is devised so that a student can learn relation of people and things. The following is the conclusion of record of the instruction plan and the class.
